Ibn Kathir, recognized as a qadi, a distinguished historian, a muhaddith, and a mufassir (Quranic commentator), penned a renowned commentary on the Quran known as Tafsir al-Quran al-'Adhim. This commentary connects Hadiths (sayings of Muhammad) and narrations from the sahaba to Quranic verses for elucidation.
